01. Where is Textured Room Located?

Located at 156 Durham Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840. It’s a hidden gem, nestled in a farmhouse built in circa 1840. You’ll find our entrance off to the side of the house as you approach the beautiful porch. 

02. What is the best way to get in touch with Textured Room?

You can leave a note with your online booking, email, text or call us! During salon business hours, we'll promptly respond and get back to any missed messages. 

03. What's the parking situation?

Please do not park in the back of the salon. There is limited free street parking on Central Avenue or at the neighboring lot next to the convenience store. 

04. What is a La Carte booking?

A La Carte booking allows clients to choose specific services, which helps the salon allocate precise time slots for each task. This streamlines scheduling, avoids overbooking, and ensures services are completed efficiently without unnecessary wait times.

05. What if the booking app won't allow me to book one or more services?

If Booksy (our booking app) is giving only options for one or two services, it is simply reflecting on the time that is or isn’t available with your desired stylist, day, or time you’re choosing. Please reach out by calling or text to ensure proper bookings and needs. 

06. Should I download your online booking app Booksy?

Absolutely! Booksy is a free app on both Apple and Android devices. You’ll have us in the palm of your hands! The app’s interface is much easier and user friendly when downloaded. You will be able to select your specific stylist, rebook, cancel, and see all your future appointments. Please be sure to input or update all proper contact information in your client profile, as this will help us inform you about any news, changes or updates at the salon, as well, as properly confirming your appointments.

07. Why do you require a Credit card on file to schedule an appointment?

We have policies in place to respect our clients' time and vice versa. We would never charge your card towards your service unless you do not show or cancel under our 48 hour policy.  Please refer to our policies below for more information.

08. What is the preferred payment option?

Cash! Cash is king and we would like to keep it like that. NO other form of payment will be accepted. Only tips may be sent to your stylist electronically.

09. I want a trim, what service should I book?

If you are looking to trim off your length or an overall cleaning please schedule a “haircut.” We do not offer shorter appointments for trims. All haircuts require the same timing, skills and resources. 

We do not offer refunds of any kind. If you don’t love your hair, let us know within 3 days of your service and our team will make it right. After 3 days, concerns will not be considered for a complimentary adjustment and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds

We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any no-shows and late cancellations. Textured Room requires a 2 day notice via CALL or TEXT to (732) 589-3183. The cancellation fee is ONLY charged if you violate the terms of the policy. If you cancel before the 48 hours NO cancellation fee will be charged. As the fee is not charged for successful appointments, you will be expected to pay for your appointment in full once the service is complete.
Failure to arrive for a schedule appointment without contacting us to cancel or reschedule ( see cancellation policy) will result in a charge equal to your scheduled services.

Cancellation policy

Please note, all services are booked on an A La Carte basis. You must choose your service based off your needs. We implement this style of booking to assure proper timing for the various service options. Keep in mind to give yourself and your stylist enough notice for flexible booking options. We recommend a two week leeway to insure your desired time and date can be accommodated.
 
For new clients, when booking online, our booking system will require a credit card on file before continuing to complete your booking options. Refer to our cancellation policy for further details.

Please ensure ALL contact information is correct and valid. Our system will notify you two days before your scheduled appointment to confirm and remind you about your appointment details.
